Saw and met Emily Henderson, last seasons HGTV Design Star winner and host of the show Secrets from a Stylist while perusing the Long Beach Antique Market this morning. Rather bizarre for me. Heard a voice from behind me and thought “I know that voice”. Figured out who I thought it was, turned around and across the row there she was. Unfortunately, she was moving away so I completely stalked her across 2 rows before I could position myself in a way that I could turn around and be like “Oh! Well look who it is. I wasn’t following you or anything…” I finally introduced myself and told her I was a fan and that I follow her show, blog and twitter (because I am that much of a geek). She was super nice. Very down to earth. I figured she would say hello and thanks and then move on shopping but she actually stood there and talked to me for a minute before moving on. Apparently I had just missed Casey (a fellow contestant of Design Star) not a minute earlier. I think I actually saw Casey when I was stalking Emily but I just didn’t realize it because I only saw her back.  My first LA celebrity sighting. And an HGTV one at that. How exciting :) Also: Was so excited about meeting her I totally missed that awesome mirror that is behind her head in the photo. I wish I had seen it and asked how much they wanted for it. :\
